You are right before that promotion or signing a new client, and somehow you missed a very important deadline or forgot to do something. Perhaps you made a mistake, and the whole thing collapsed.
Sounds familiar?
Our mind has many ingenious ways of sabotaging us.
Sometimes it is very obvious.
Sometimes is so subtle that we can't even see it.
We are conditioned to believe that we can't have it too easy.
We believe that we need to struggle.
Often we don't even realise we have many limiting beliefs that run the show from the shadows of the subconscious mind.
When the subconscious beliefs are at odds with the conscious wishes and desires, that is where the sabotage happens.
And the subconscious always wins unless we do the work.

Do you need to be resilient to be successful?
Great question.
I have often asked myself if I am resilient.
And I have to say yes, but not always in a healthy way.
So, do you need to be resilient to be successful?
Personally, my interpretation is YES.
We need a healthy dose of resilience.
Why?
Because business & life, in general, is filled with challenging situations that we can't control.
It takes courage, confidence and self-esteem to show up in the world and make our desires a reality.
The more resilient we are, the more we can stabilise our emotional responses.
Resilience also means ...
Adaptability.
Capacity to stay flexible in thinking, feeling and behaving.
Improving your self-awareness.
And that is not always easy if we don't have a supportive network, haven't dealt with limiting beliefs, lack of confidence, low self-esteem or habits that hold us back.
However, the main takeaway I want you to take from this episode is that resilience is about remaining FLEXIBLE & ADAPTABLE.
I want to leave you with one of my favourite hacks.
Practice REFRAMING to build resilience.
Whaaaat?
Consider that everything is about interpretations.
It is about how we choose to look at any problem or situation.
Work on choosing better and healthier perspectives.

What I mean by that is there is no better place to live a happy and joyful life than NOW, yet we get stuck in the past or the future.
We worry.
We overthink.
We get stuck in shame & guilt.
We get so preoccupied with what was or what may or may not be that we forget to live.
Yes, we forget to enjoy our lives.
Those ways of being can become so HABITUAL that we forget how to live any other way.
AND YES, A WAY OF THINKING CAN BECOME A HABIT.
We are creatures of habit.
As a recovered overthinker, I fully understand.
However, with all my heart, I promise the best life happens NOW.
Please STOP wasting your creative energy on living in the past or the future.
Use that vital force to create extraordinary life & biz from the NOW.

Avoiding avoidance. How to face up to your issues?
As humans, we have a tendency to try and distance ourselves from discomfort.
No one wants to feel pain.
(well, maybe some of you 😉)
When we associate any emotions with discomfort and pain, it is natural for us to move away.
And our favourite escape routes are denial & distraction.
Ouch 😧
Why is that?
Back where we were hunter-gatherers running away from the threat was a valid response and often the only one we had.
However, much of the modern threat is associated with stress, our reactions to it & internally caused stress.
And to add to the injury. We also get stressed by our own stress.
The question then is, how do we fight those internal threats?
Most of us attempt to distract ourselves by binge shopping, working out, Netflix & chill, overworking & ____________ (fill in the gap).
𝐼 𝒹𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝓀𝓃𝑜𝓌 𝒶𝒷𝑜𝓊𝓉 𝓎𝑜𝓊, 𝒷𝓊𝓉 𝐼 𝒽𝒶𝓋𝑒 𝒹𝑜𝓃𝑒 𝒾𝓉.
Consider that escaping the problem leaves the problem unaddressed.
It is like putting a plaster on an infected wound without sterilising it.
How long do you think it will take before that wound starts bothering you or causing an infection?
We can only escape the problem as long as the activity last, so it is a temporary solution.
When we stop and spend some time alone, with our thoughts & emotions, the problem floods back OFTEN AT FULL SPEED.
Avoiding pain only perpetuates it in the long term.
Whereas mindfulness lets you learn and draw from your so-called negative emotions.
The question remains, what can you do?
There are a number of options, and obviously, I will name hypnosis as one of them.

Are you dealing with stress in the most effective way?
Stress has become a fact of life.
I think that is CRAZY.
We normalised living in the struggle.
We got so used to being stressed that many people live balancing between stress & chronic stress.
I don't think I have to say that stress affects our bodies in profound ways.
Starting from high blood pressure, depression, headaches, and sleep problems to lack of focus, impaired cognitive abilities and fertility problems.
And although our bodies are amazing at supporting us, how do you take care of yourself?
Are you taking good care of the vessel (aka your body)?
Perhaps you eat too much or not enough.
Maybe you drink too much to cope with life.
How about numbing with Netflix or shopping (name your poison)?
All of that are coping strategies to deal with emotions, feelings, and things we don't want to deal with.
And with stress being so present in our lives, those coping strategies are being tested.
It's not the lion chasing us for breakfast anymore.
It's the boss.
Your partner.
Your financial situation.
The state of the world.
Problems with kids.
So many different stressors.
The question is, how do you deal with it?
Doing your daily practices when life is good is easy.
How does your practice look when life is not so good?
For me, it's doubling down on my practices.
👉staying present
👉breathing practices
👉silence
👉hypnosis
👉gratitude
👉move away from the stressors as and when feasible, as fast as possible
For everyone who is in business, building a career or just enjoying life. Stress can be a barrier to a happy, joyful and fulfilling life.

It's never too late to have a happy & joyful childhood to build confidence.
And neuroscience proves it is possible.
You may be thinking, what on earth, Ewelina, how does that relate to business, building a career, working on our relationships etc., as adults?
Let me say EVERYTHING.
I don't know about you, but I didn't have good role models in my life.
I learned from an early age how to live in a scarcity mindset, how not to be confident, and feel less than & not worthy of my dreams.
Not a good set of stories and beliefs if you ask me.
However, it is never too late to start 'parenting yourself' and rewire your beliefs, stories and habits that will support you and your goals.
Learn how to give yourself what you need.
Learn to love yourself.
That one alone took some work, but it made all the difference.

As I have learned, most of our limiting beliefs, emotional pain, addictions, shopping therapy, mental fixations etc., are underpinned by the belief, I AM NOT ENOUGH.
Whatever the not enough is for you.
👉not good enough
👉not slim enough
👉not smart enough
👉not successful enough
👉____________ (fill in the blank)
This belief couldn't be further from the truth, yet it haunts many of us.
We usually adopt this belief early on and live by it for decades, often not even realising that this is the actual problem causing us pain.
Failed relationships, career issues, money struggles or anger issues, depression, and anxiety are the symptoms.
Yes, symptoms.
The actual problem is the belief that we are not good enough.
However, with hypnosis & many other tools that I teach my clients, we can change that.
Neuroplasticity comes in very handy here.
